Poster Studio Express is an EdTech company dedicated to providing innovative wide format printing solutions and software to schools. We empower educators with the tools they need to create engaging and effective learning materials. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI/ML Engineer to join our team in a unique hybrid role. This position offers the opportunity to dedicate approximately half of your time to providing expert technical support to schools using our products and the other half to developing and training cutting-edge machine learning models for our future innovations. This role also includes the exciting potential for ownership in a groundbreaking new AI project.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or a closely related technical field.
• Minimum of three years of proven experience in a technical support role, preferably supporting software products used in educational settings.
• At least two years of practical experience in software development, with a specific focus on machine learning model training and development.
• Strong understanding of fundamental machine learning principles, various algorithms, and effective model evaluation techniques.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in machine learning, such as Python.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with a demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical issues effectively, particularly those encountered by educators using our wide format printing solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain intricate technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of technical understanding, especially teachers and school administrators.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment in our EdTech company.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with cloud-based machine learning platforms such as Amazon SageMaker, Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Databricks.
• Familiarity with open-source machine learning libraries and frameworks including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, and Apache Spark MLlib.
• Experience with MLOps tools and practices such as MLflow and Kubeflow.
• Demonstrated experience with a variety of machine learning algorithms, including:
• Supervised Learning: Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forest, Support Vector Machines (SVM), Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN)
• Unsupervised Learning: K-Means Clustering, Principal Component Analysis (PCA)
• Deep Learning: Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs)
• Gradient Boosting: XGBoost, LightGBM
