What we need: We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for our Wildlife Management Supervisor position within the Division of Wildlife headquartered at the District 2 Office located at 952 Lima Ave. Findlay, OH 45840. What you will do… Administers, coordinates and supervises all wildlife management programs within the district and supervises all habitat and recreational management activities on publicly owned and agreement land Monitors and supervises assigned personnel (e.g., interviews, provides hiring recommendations, trains, evaluates, coordinates work schedules, approves leave requests, counsels employees) Prepares operational plans for all federal aid projects, tactical plans and long-range plans (e.g., allocating available employee hours/days, allocating the district budget, ensuring projects address the Division of Wildlife strategic plan, and projects comply with Federal Aid laws) and prepares annual reports Performs a variety of public relations activities; provides information on wildlife programs and management principals to general public and resource agencies Provides technical advice and assistance to public on wildlife damage control, nuisance or injured animals (e.g., capture injured and/or diseased animals) Implements and supervises biological sampling techniques and schedules wildlife management personnel and wildlife officers in collection of survey and research data (e.g., trapping, banding, sexing, and aging of various wildlife species, wildlife disease surveillance and monitoring, deer aging stations and wildlife audio/visual surveys) Starting hourly pay of $32.35/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $46.09/hr May be expected to work some evenings, weekends and holidays. There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates Exempt Employees E1 | Department of Administrative Services. -Completion of undergraduate core program in wildlife management or related field of study AND 36 mos. exp. in wildlife management AND must be able to provide own transportation. -Or 12 mos. exp. as Assistant Wildlife Management Supervisor, 22855, Wildlife Area Supervisor, 22216 or similar position AND must be able to provide own transportation. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
