Join our team.  If you have an eye for color, a sense of fashion and strong people skills you should consider a rewarding career as a Williams and Kay Home Furnishing sales associate.  Higher end retail or interior design background a plus but not essential. We provide sales training and product knowledge training during your initial 6-months with us.  You’ll earn $2,080 per pay period (Biweekly) guaranteed during your initial 6 months with us.  At the end of your initial 6-months, you can elect to be paid commission on your sales allowing you to earn at the highest levels.  Company Overview: Williams and Kay is a highly rated locally owned high end home furnishings store that has been serving our clientele for over 30 years.  We are a proud member of the Furniture Enterprises of Alaska family of stores. We have been awarded Best Places to Work awards on both local and national levels.  Key Responsibilities: * Welcome each customer in a sincere and friendly manner. * Listen carefully to the customer’s needs. * Help customers find the best solutions utilizing our showroom and special-order options. * Learn about our products through informative meetings with manufacturer representatives. * Be able to inform customers of the products we sell. * Help create and present design plans to clients with the help of our in-house Interior Designer.  Qualifications: * Ability to listen and understand the customer’s needs. * Succeed in a team environment, yet able to work independently. * Ability to learn POS system and general computer programs.  * Able to be mobile on the showroom floor, frequently walking, bending, sitting, and kneeling. * Able to work retail hours including weekends and holidays such as Memorial Day and Labor Day. * Pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing and background check.  Our Benefits: * PTO (136 Hours) * Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance * 401K Plan with generous Employer Match * Employee Assistance Program * Associate Discounts  We are an equal opportunity employer and do not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other characteristics protected by law.
