Description

The purpose of this position is to provide individuals with on-the-job training and hands-on experience in NDE inspection processes. NDE Level I technicians work under the direct guidance of a Level II Technician and report to the Inspection Film Interpreter/Foreman. This position will be responsible for driving Kakivik's Mission, Vision, and Values, a crucial part of the strategic plan to drive success. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Must be 18 years old. * High School Diploma or GED is required. * A valid driver’s license with no restrictions is required. * Pass a Background Check and Drug Screen. * North Slope Training Cooperative Card (NSTC) is required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * IRRSP or State Card is preferred. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet. * LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, 30 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet. * HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms. * VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man. Have correctable vision to at least 20/40. * RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.
