Currently recruiting for a Wills & Estates Paralegal for a firm on the south side of Edmonton.
5+ years required for this role.
Must be able to run files from beginning to end.
Applications are being accepted for a Wills and Estates Paralegal with start to finish experience in Wills and Estates, Estate Planning and Estate Administration. Responsibilities include preparing correspondence, Wills, Enduring Power of Attorneys, Personal Directives, Estate Administration documents (grant applications), completing service, filings at Surrogate Court, communicating with and assisting executors, beneficiaries, accountants, various government agencies, and drafting miscellaneous corporate/commercial documents as necessary. The successful candidate will manage the estate file progress to completion, report to clients, and also take care of the day-to-day administrative duties of a busy practice (tasks lists, file organization, appointment bookings, diarizations, preparing accounts, filing). The successful candidate must also be detail oriented, a self-starter, accurate and have exceptional multi-tasking, communication, and organization skills. Advanced Word and experience with document production and management systems are an asset.
