About the Role
The Windchill Solutions Architect is a specialized role that requires a blend of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, strategic thinking and client-focused mindset. You understand that there is always more than one way to perform a requirement. In this client-facing role, you will act as a liaison between them and ArcherGrey’s technical teams by translating complex technical solutions to fulfill business solutions while mitigating risks.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test, support PTC’s Windchill solutions.
  • Lead team of developers to achieve technical and functional goals.
  • Design customizations and extensions that meet customer requirements.
  • Responsible for developing solutions around Change Objects, Parts, Documents, BOM Structures, Effectivity, etc.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing Windchill instances and supporting software.
  • Advise customers in specification of software processes.
  • Integrate CAD tools with Windchill.
  • Upgrade Windchill PLM solution.
  • Migrate data from legacy systems into the Windchill environment.
  • Act as Windchill Architect lead, create new approaches to solve problems and grow business.
  • Conduct Gap Analysis and perform data integration and data migration.
  • Analyze clients’ data models, and advise them on the best way to cleanse, manipulate and prepare their data for migration.
  • Advise customers about or perform maintenance of software systems.
  • Propose high level PLM solution design to improve and/or optimize existing product development processes.
  • Develop software-testing procedures through conducting trial runs of programs and software applications to deliver customer satisfaction.
  • Independently install, customize, and integrate software solutions.

About the Candidate

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience with PTC Windchill, Windchill API, Java/JSP
  • Expert knowledge of PTC’s Windchill 11.1 (or later versions)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer or similar role
  • Desire to learn about and implement new technology
  • Ability to focus on multiple projects
  • Medical device experience preferred
