Description
Infrastructure Testing & Benchmarking Design and execute performance and reliability tests for desktop environments using industry-standard tools and frameworks. Develop automated test cases in C# for functional and performance validation. Analyse test results, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimisation strategies. Performance Tuning & Optimisation Apply best practices for VDI performance, resource allocation, and system responsiveness. Ensure secure configuration and adherence to organisational security standards. Develop scripts using PowerShell and C# for automation and testing workflows. Work within Agile and DevOps frameworks to deliver iterative improvements. Contribute proactively to problem-solving and innovation within the team. At least 4+ years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role. Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems and system-level components. Physical &VDI desktop hardware configuration, and troubleshooting. Drivers, firmware, and vendor-specific utilities. SCCM, task sequences, and enterprise deployment automation. Proficiency in PowerShell and C# scripting (including automated test case development). Git, Agile, and DevOps practices. Excellent analytical skills for interpreting test results and implementing optimisations. Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills. Experience in VDI environments and cross-platform performance tuning. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure and performance testing using recognised tools and methodologies. Knowledge of Linux (advantageous but not essential). Willingness to work outside standard hours when required. Collaborative and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
