ABOUT US

The Glass of Bandol is a self service Wine bar allowing guests to choose from a variety of wines and offering cheese centric dishes and small plates.
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience. If you have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
General duties
- Greet guests and escort them to their tables
- Present menus and provide detailed information about dishes and beverages
- Take accurate food and drink orders from guests
- Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of meals
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner
- Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure wines dispensers are restocked and cleaned when needed
- Clear tables and clean up after guests leave
- Prepare bills and process payments accurately
- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service
Knowledge of wines is not essential but eagerness to learn would be key. Training will be provided to the right candidate as well as opportunities for growth. Ideal candidate would be someone eager to learn about cheese/wines and generally self-motivated.
Only candidates with suitable hospitality experience need apply, with a drive to succeed.
Requirements:
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and procedures
- Willingness to help out in other areas of the bar/restaurant as needed
- Basic math skills for handling payments accurately
