Seaboard Brewing | Taproom | Wine Bar is an established bar located in historic downtown Matthews, opened on August of 2016 searching for a wine bartender/specialist that has a strong background in wine and well as basic knowledge in beer as well
We are looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and who possesses gracious people skills and who has proven service and sales experience. This is a great opportunity to be a part of an enthusiastic team working to build the success of this exciting multi concept bar.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Recommend 2 years working in the hospitality &/or sales industry or related wine experience
· Already have or possess the ability to develop solid knowledge of wine with an ability to engage customers in sharing that knowledge
· Dedicated to excellence and high standards in work ethic
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· Flexibility to handle changing priorities with eagerness
· Punctuality is a must
· Be at least 21 years of age
· Comfortable speaking to groups
· Able to work weekends, evenings, and have a flexible schedule
· Possess a driver’s license
Additional Desired Qualifications:
· Prior wine bar experience
Physical Demands:
· Must be able to tolerate standing and walking for long periods of time
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
· Able to reach, kneel, crouch, stoop, and balance

· Providing guests with outstanding service and hospitality
· Developing an ongoing knowledge about wines and other on site beverages
· Accurately describe the wines, winemaking techniques, winery histories, etc.
· Listening to customers’ preference and helping them with their wine decisions.
· Promoting the Seaboard wine club memberships
· Working to upsell without the client feeling pressure
· Executing responsibilities with a professional yet approachable demeanor
· Representing the facility at in-house and outside events when necessary
· Ability to work quickly and efficiently when the wine bar/taproom is busy
· Ability to work as a team with the other staff
· Ability to work solo on slower days
· In addition to pouring tastes, providing service for flights, wine by the glass and bottle sales
· Operating glass washer and polishing glasses
· Helping to keep the facility, and restrooms clean and organized
· Following opening and closing procedures and maintaining opening and closing logs
· Maintaining inventories/supplies
· Willingness to perform other tasks as needed
