POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Wine Educator at Doukénie Winery, provide a warm, welcoming guest experience by serving wine and food and offering approachable, knowledgeable insights into our wines and winemaking process. Serve as an ambassador for the Doukénie brand, ensuring guests feel informed, relaxed, and eager to return.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Passion for wine, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain upbeat in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or wine service preferred
  • Must be 21+ and able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: From $14.00 per hour
    Expected hours: No less than 7 per week

Responsibilities
  • Greet guests and guide them through our wine and food options with enthusiasm and product knowledge
  • Serve wine in accordance with ABC regulations and responsible service standards
  • Offer background on Doukénie’s vineyard, winemaking, and wine styles in a casual, engaging manner
  • Support wine sales, wine club sign-ups, and merchandise purchases through confident recommendations
  • Keep tasting areas clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day
  • Operate POS system (Commerce7) for purchases, wine club sign-ups, and customer service tasks
  • Support setup, execution, and guest engagement on weekends and special events.
  • Restock wine, glassware, and supplies as needed; assist with opening/closing duties
  • Collaborate with team to maintain a positive, guest-focused atmosphere
