WINE SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER

Ellis Wharton Wines is an independently owned importer, wholesaler and retailer that is proud to sell a fantastic portfolio of premium wines and spirits from across the globe. Our selection is focused is on small producers who farm responsibly and make wines with provenance.
We are looking for an exceptional Wine Sales Account Manager to look after our amazing customers in our expanding business selling to hotels and restaurants across the South West, but principally in Cornwall. Your role will include both maintaining existing business and opening new accounts. Excellent customer service and attention to detail is required at all times.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Level 2 WSET minimum.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record in sales.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills.
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure that your product knowledge is sufficient to be able to converse comfortably with customers and prospects at all levels.
  • To manage your time carefully and efficiently and develop a calling plan that ensures regular visits to all your customers, whilst leaving ample time for prospecting.
  • To conduct bespoke staff training for customers restaurant teams.
  • To communicate efficiently and in a timely fashion within the company, with customers and future customers.
  • To liaise with the Credit Control department, to ensure that all accounts are kept within our trading terms.
  • To supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
