POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Wine Shop Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for wine, excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage guests in a friendly, approachable manner.

REQUIREMENTS

• 1–2 years of experience in hospitality, retail, or related customer-facing role
• Entry-level wine certification (CMS or WSET Level 1 or equivalent) required
• Strong communication skills and friendly, professional demeanor
• Ability to work afternoon shifts and weekends is required. The shop closes at 7pm so even closing shift team members are done by 7:30pm.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods

• Greet and assist customers, providing wine recommendations tailored to their preferences
• Share product knowledge, including tasting notes, pairing recommendations, and winemaking details
• Operate POS system, process transactions and handle cash/credit securely
• Assist with wine tastings, special events and in-store promotions
• Restock shelves, maintain product displays and ensure the shop is clean and organized
