JOB DESCRIPTION

The starting pay range for this position begins at $16.32/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Previous retail, inventory, and/or customer service experience strongly preferred.
    The ideal candidate will have had at least 6 months of prior retail inventory or guest service experience in an upscale/luxury setting.
  2. Exceptional guest relations and verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Basic math skills and the ability to operate inventory management systems and point of sale (POS) systems. Previous experience with inventory control procedures, loss/shrinkage practices, and/or merchandising delivery protocols preferred.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to providing world-class guest service.
  5. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, guest service environment as part of a team.
  6. Ability to anticipate guest needs, be proactive, and take initiative where appropriate.
  7. Ability to exercise good judgment and multitask. Should be comfortable with creative problem-solving.
  8. Forklift certification, or ability to obtain forklift certification within the first year, required. Annual recertification required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to lift, carry, push/pull between 50-100 lbs. daily
  2. Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, and down below for long periods of time
  3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Agility, stamina, accurate vision, and hearing
  5. Ability to climb stairs and ladders as needed

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION WITH AN EXPECTED END DATE OF JANUARY 5TH, 2026. HOWEVER, BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEDS, THERE MAY BE AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A MORE PERMANENT ROLE AT THE END OF THE SEASON, IF ONE IS AVAILABLE.

Schedule can vary but is generally 5-8 hour shifts between the hours of 7:00 am and 9:00 pm. Evening and weekend availability required.
The Winery Stockroom Worker is responsible for stocking of wine and merchandise in a fast pace retail environment at the Winery including, but not limited to: stockroom inventory and floor/shelf displays, bin maintenance, liaising with the retail central warehouse and visual merchandising staff to ensure product is available; and working with the retail inventory control team to anticipate and forecast stock/inventory needs. The incumbent will also provide general support to the Retail team and Winery staff, and will assist with special projects, events, and activities as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Stock items throughout the day to ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked, utilizing pull sheets from the prior day’s sales.
  2. Tracks inventory and displays throughout the day to determine restocking needs.
  3. Ensures items are properly displayed and maintains the original intent and look of all displays.
  4. Processes and distributes wine and merchandise deliveries from the Retail Central Warehouse & Wine Production.
  5. Promptly answers radio calls throughout the day from the sales floor.
  6. Exhibits proper phone/radio etiquette as outlined in the retail orientation guidelines.
  7. Provides an exceptional guest service experience for each guest.
  8. Offers assistance as needed to guests with locating merchandise.
  9. Offers assistance to guests as needed with transportation and loading of large items to their vehicle.
  10. Executes stockroom bin maintenance following the guidance of the Stockroom Supervisor.
  11. Maintains a daily schedule of cleaning and organizing the stockroom to maintain neatness in the area.
  12. Maintains and prepares food & drink samples for the Winery and other Retail Outlets.
  13. Operates POS and assists Winery Retail Assistants with bagging & wrapping when additional guest service is required at registers.
  14. Maintains adequate wine stock levels on the Retail Floor through restocking shelves and replenishing cases.
  15. Maintains a positive, cooperative, and professional attitude at all times.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist with daily opening and closing responsibilities as needed.
  2. Operate forklift to transport pallets of wine as needed.
  3. Offer any other support and assistance as determined by the Manager or Supervisor.
