JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professionals to join our team in the role of Winter 2026 Co-Op Student to start in January 2026.
Digital & Technology Services: provides essential support functions and innovative solutions to enable the company’s core operations. The CTS team delivers a wide range of services, including information technology, cybersecurity, business process improvement, project management, supply chain, facilities management, and corporate administration. By leveraging advanced technologies and best practices, CTS ensures the reliability, efficiency, and security of OPG’s business and operational processes, supporting the company’s mission to provide clean, reliable energy to Ontarians.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Students should have at least one or more experiences in the following areas:

  • Front-End Development: Experience with JavaScript, Angular, React, and jQuery for building responsive and dynamic user interfaces. Proficient in HTML and CSS for web layout and design.
  • Back-End Development: Experience in C#, Python, Java, and C++ for server-side programming. Experience developing applications using .NET framework. Familiarity with building RESTful APIs and integrating with various back-end services.
  • Database & Reporting: Experience with SQL for data manipulation and querying. Experience with data visualization and reporting tools including Power BI and Tableau. Exposure to SAP systems for enterprise resource planning and reporting.
  • Cloud & Platform Technologies: Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services for application deployment and management.
  • VERSION CONTROL & COLLABORATION: Experience in using Git for version control and collaborative development.
  • Additional Skills: Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and basic testing practices. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to new technologies.

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at a recognized college or university majoring in one of the following disciplines:

  • Returning to full-time studies after the work term or require the placement to graduate.
