PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Colas are looking for part-time Winter Maintenance Driver with a HGV Cat C (Class 2) driver’s licence, with CPC, to work on the Newcastle CC Winter Maintenance. The HGV Cat C (Class 2) drivers will be appointed to cover the Winter Maintenance season from 6th October 2025 until 17th April 2026 (This may be extended if the weather is of a poor nature at the time). We are looking for suitable candidates to work on a weekly sum contract basis.
Location – Rothbury Terrace, Heaton, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE6 5DE. HGV Cat C (Class 2) drivers must commit to availability every day for the duration of the service. We will pay you a lump sum figure of £600.00 from Monday- Sunday regardless of any requirements. The hours will vary per week depending on call-outs. Decision making for mornings and evenings is generally made on a lunchtime however, there will be an expectation that you could take a phone call at any time and respond to the callout.
