Description Cantigny is a 500-acre estate in Wheaton, Illinois, which encompasses formal gardens, a museum dedicated to the 1st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army, and a 27-hole public golf course. Cantigny welcomes over 400,000 visitors annually to enjoy its educational and recreational amenities and public and private events. For this winter season, Cantigny is seeking 15 enthusiastic and dependable Winter Program Staff members to join our team and support programming throughout winter. Cantigny will be hosting nightly public events across the estate for visitors. These events will be both indoors and outdoors. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, guest experiences, the outdoors, and enjoy working in a beautiful natural setting. Winter Program Staff will play a vital role in ensuring Cantigny remains accessible and safe for visitors during the winter months. This position is part time and will run from November 8th to January 4th. Requirements Key Responsibilities Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor. Collect, check, and validate admission tickets at the point of entry. Guide patrons through the check-in process and facility layout. Provide helpful information and resolve guest inquiries with excellent customer service. Monitor entrances and exits to ensure safety and maintain order. Coordinate with team leaders or supervisors on any issues or additional tasks. Perform other duties as assigned to support event operations. Qualifications Customer service experience or desire to learn is strongly preferred Ability to proficiently use computer systems for guest ticketing, payment processing, and scheduling Strong verbal communication skills and interest in working directly with guests Ability to work outdoors in winter weather conditions, which may include walkways that may be wet, slippery, or uneven Must be able to stand and sit for extended periods of time Proficiency in languages other than English, particularly Spanish, is a plus Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of application
