Description
Job Title: Wire EDM Machinist Location: E-City phase 2, Bangalore Work Hours: Rotational Shift Experience: minimum 1 year experience Role Overview: We're looking for a machinist who can independently set up and operate Wire EDM machines to produce precision components as per design requirements. Key Responsibilities: Set up, program, and operate Wire EDM machines Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions Select appropriate tooling, wire, and machine settings for each job Monitor machining process and make adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy Perform in-process inspections using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMM if available) Ensure components meet specified tolerances and surface finish requirements Maintain equipment, including basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance Keep records of production and inspection reports Maintain a safe and organized work area Requirements: Hands-on experience with Wire EDM Understanding of EDM programming and machine parameters Ability to read and understand Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection methods Ability to work with tight tolerances Problem-solving skills and attention to detail Education: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die, or related trade. Equivalent practical experience also considered.
