Boeing Global Services (BGS) Global Technical Operations (GTO) is currently looking for a Wire Harness and Fiber Optic Manufacturing Technician to join our team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to support manufacturing and repair efforts across multiple programs at the Fort Walton Beach repair center. Programs to be supported include manufacturing and repair efforts with ORCA, AWACS, V-22, F-15 support equipment, and other various programs. In addition, position will augment repair center Avionics and Hydro-Mechanical shops as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and interpreting wire harness diagrams and installation schematics
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with wire harness repair
Responsibilities
  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
  • Oversees training.
  • Works under general direction.
