Piper Companies is searching for an experienced Wireless Network Engineer for a global tech company specializing in networking and security located in Raleigh, NC. The Wireless Network Engineer will be responsible for delivering enterprise wireless solutions through RF design, deployment, and on-site support. This is a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC and may require up to 50% travel.

Responsibilities of the Wireless Network Engineer:

  • Perform wireless site surveys and RF design using industry-standard tools, including predictive modeling and on-site validation.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for large-scale wireless networks in complex environments such as healthcare and manufacturing.
  • Configure and manage enterprise-grade wireless controllers and support end-to-end deployment activities.
  • Assist with wireless authentication setup and integration with network access control systems.
  • Travel up to 50% monthly to customer locations for design, implementation, and support engagements.

Qualifications for the Wireless Network Engineer:

  • 5+ years in enterprise wireless networking and RF design.
  • Skilled in wireless surveys (Ekahau, Hamina, or AirMagnet) and AP-on-a-stick.
  • Experience with wireless controllers, Layer 2/3 networking, and authentication systems.
  • Able to travel up to 50% for on-site work in complex environments.
