Apple’s SAR Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on RF Exposure (SAR/MPE) characterization across different wireless technologies for Apple’s wireless products. DESCRIPTION - Validating RF Exposure test cases for different regulatory domains in certification test setups. - Translating WW regulatory requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance teams to ensure product validation covers all certification tests. - Define/execute validation plan for RF Exposure facing SW features. - Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE and drive design changes to address issues. - Maintain test setups via periodic checks and calibration. - Help Regulatory Compliance teams in planning/executing on final certification testing at 3rd party test labs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS degree. Working experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/UMTS/LTE, 802.11xx, Bluetooth including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05). Working experience with regulatory requirements and certification process for wireless consumer devices, including FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, 3GPP. Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS MS degree. Working experience of antenna design and tests, in particular hands-on experience for compliance measurements. Experience with 5GmmWave standard and/or hands-on chamber/system level understanding. Experience with Antenna/EM simulation tools.
Responsibilities
The engineer will validate RF exposure test cases for various regulatory domains and translate worldwide regulatory requirements into test cases. They will also coordinate with compliance teams and maintain test setups while assisting in final certification testing.
