POSITION OVERVIEW

JeromyCorp Inc. is seeking a Wireless Survey Engineer to perform on-site wireless network surveys and help ensure optimal Wi-Fi coverage and performance at client facilities across Australia. The role focuses on conducting physical site surveys, documenting wireless environments, and collaborating with remote technical teams.

REQUIREMENTS

• Practical experience using Ekahau for wireless surveys.
• Understanding of Wi-Fi fundamentals and RF concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret floor plans and building layouts.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to sites across Australia (sometimes on short notice).

• Conduct wireless site surveys using Ekahau tools.
• Assess access point placement for optimal coverage and capacity.
• Record signal strength, interference, and channel utilization during surveys.
• Identify and document dead zones with recommended solutions.
• Create and maintain floor plan layouts with AP positions.
• Test wireless performance for bandwidth, latency, and roaming.
• Provide clear survey reports and heatmaps to project teams.
• Work closely with network engineers to improve wireless designs.
• Follow all client safety and security protocols while on-site.
• Capture photo documentation of equipment and site conditions.
