In this role you will be responsible for the bringup and integration infrastructure for the PHY/Radio and executing the PHY and radio level characterization on internal silicon solution from chip back until shipping in your favorite Apple products

DESCRIPTION

In this individual technical contributor role you will be responsible for automation development and characterization of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products. You will develop the bringup infrastructure at the center of a silicon design group as well as the characterization, regression, and reporting framework. This will including designing and implementing a Python-based bringup, integration, and debug environment; designing and implementing a Python-based characterization, regression, and reporting framework. As an owner of the silicon performance infrastructure you will be key in making sure future Apple products exceed expectations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS + 10 years of relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Basic Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, LTE/WCDMA/GSM, or 802.11ad/ay.
  • Understanding communication theory and key Tx/Rx metrics like EVM and sensitivity.
  • Experience in developing test and debug infrastructure for bring-up, integration, characterization, and debug of real wireless silicon in a lab.
  • Experience using wireless/RF test equipment such as signal analyzer, signal generator, and spectrum analyzer.
  • Experience developing test automation including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools.
  • Strong Experience with Python, Matlab, Perl, Javascript, C/C++, or C#
  • Advanced degree preferred; Masters or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
