Description

ACP Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled, safety-conscious Wiring and Assembly Testing Technician to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will ensure the quality, functionality, and safety of our electrical panels—supporting our commitment to excellence and compliance with industry standards.
As part of your responsibilities, you will also fulfill duties as a Manufacturer Technical Representative (MTR) under our UL 508A certification program, and maintain ongoing safety training including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Arc Flash Awareness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training in electrical technology is an asset.
  • Proven experience in panel wiring and electrical testing is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of electrical safety protocols, including LOTO and Arc Flash Awareness.
  • Knowledge of UL 508A standards and experience working within a certified environment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to task management.

Responsibilities
  • Perform functional testing and inspection of electrical panels to verify compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain all mandatory safety certifications and actively follow ACP’s safety policies, including LOTO and Arc Flash Awareness procedures.
  • Assemble and wire panels during periods with no scheduled testing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Interpret and work from electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager and broader team to meet production targets and timelines.
  • Consistently adhere to health, safety, and environmental guidelines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Take on additional tasks or projects as assigned by management.
