Job Title: Wiring Assembler 1st Shift

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Wiring Assembler at LayerZero Power Systems, Inc. will be responsible for binding wires to form wire harnesses for our electrical systems and equipment. This position requires reading electrical wiring schemes and binding wires together using sleeves, cable lacing, cable ties, and electrical conduits. This role involves inspecting and measuring of all parts and conducting quality control tests.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to use fingers to grasp, move, and assemble very small objects
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
  • Visual acuity to read instructions, assemble, and inspect parts produced.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Work experience with electronics or wiring.
  • Ability to read and follow simple assembly diagrams and procedures.
  • Ability to use simple electronic test tools, e.g., continuity tester, cable tester, etc.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools, e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Good eyesight and ability to work with small parts and tools.
  • Attention to detail and desire to do very high-quality work
Responsibilities
  • Assemble kits of small parts into electronic assemblies using instructions and hand tools.
  • Final assembly of wire harnesses from machine-made sub-assemblies following standard procedures.
  • Sorting, labeling and packaging electronic assemblies and harnesses.
  • Taking responsibility for and ownership of the quality of his or her work output.
  • Maintenance of a clean and orderly work area.
  • Care, lubrication and cleaning of hand tools.
  • Providing supervisor with feedback to help improve quality and efficiency.
