THE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Completion of post-secondary education is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a background in healthcare, social services, community health, or public health.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a non-profit, community health, or program coordination role, including responsibilities related to organizational and financial management preferred.
  • Experience working within a post-secondary environment is strongly preferred particularly in roles that involve student engagement, interdepartmental collaboration, or health education.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers, with preference given to those who have worked with student groups or student-led organizations preferred.
  • Experience in health promotion, harm reduction, or other community-based health initiatives preferred. -Experience navigating community resources related to housing, crisis intervention, food security, and conflict resolution preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered, particularly where it demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary for client care coordination, community engagement, and inter-professional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of trauma-informed care and population health.
  • Strong understanding of community development principles, health equity, and the social determinants of health required.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in program coordination, mentorship, and team collaboration
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including indigenous communities, newcomers, individuals experiencing houselessness, and other marginalized or underserved groups.
  • Familiarity with culturally safe, inclusive, and inter-professional care practices preferred.
  • Strong project management and program delivery skills, including the ability to manage timelines, coordinate multiple priorities, and ensure effective implementation of community-based initiatives preferred.
  • A satisfactory work record, including satisfactory attendance and punctuality, is required.
