JOB SUMMARY
Main Street Project provides Withdrawal Management Services to individuals at two locations: 75 Martha and 146 Magnus Avenue. The primary purpose of our two facilities is to help participants begin their recovery journey through detox stabilization that decreases risk, supports accessing long term treatment programs, managing external recovery needs through advocacy, and expanding resource capacity. Both sites provide 24-hour support in a safe and stable environment at no cost the participant. Prior to admission, all participants must receive a medical clearance which provides a narrative of how Main Street Project Staff can support a participant’s time in the unit.
Main Street Project Staff conduct regular check-ins with clients regarding their plans, goals and physical, emotional and spiritual well-being and assist with the creation of individualized detox care plans to support and guide their individual recovery whether it is reducing the harm they may experience from their drug of choice or continuing treatment if abstinence is their goal.
In accordance with Main Street Project mission, goals, policies and procedures, the Withdrawal Management Support Worker functions as a member of a team in providing services designed to assist and support all who enter the program with respect, dignity, and the goals of the participant always in mind.
