WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in system root cause analysis and is able to identify anomalies and discrepancies within system data and processes in order to present workable solutions.
It goes without saying that for this role you’ll need to be IT literate and ideally have advanced knowledge in Excel with the ability to perform formulae, VBA and pivot tables.
You will enjoy working in a fast paced and busy team environment, you will be highly organised and able to prioritise you own workload; possess a high attention to detail and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
This role would be suited to someone who has worked as a WMS Super User, WMS Key User, Inventory Controller, Stock Controller, WMS Specialist, Warehouse Systems Specialist, Flow Room Technician or an individual who is a competent user of WMS.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

Our e-commerce operation based in East Midlands Gateway, Derby, is looking for an experienced and highly focused Warehouse Systems Specialist to provide, manage and develop the Warehouse Management System onsite and be on hand to provide first hand support to the operation.
This role requires a commitment to a Monday to Thursday shift, 08:00 to 17:45, with the flexibility to cover other shifts when needed.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into Inventory and System Manager you will be responsible for developing, updating and maintaining WMS systems and processes, and take responsibility for the delivery of information across the operation, ensuring data integrity is maintained whilst also assisting with root cause analysis, error containment and proactively providing workable solutions to reduce any process failures.
You will be the custodian of system integrity for the Warehouse Management System, investigating and resolving any issues whilst also scrutinizing weekly reconciliation reports to identify and communicate the root causes, examine system issues and queries highlighting any that may require development, and perform test scenarios on new developments to replicate live operations.
You will lead warehouse management system (WMS) implementation projects from planning through to execution. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope, while minimising disruption to daily operations.
You will also provide training and support to any users of the WMS and develop a close working relationship with the wider business to achieve optimum capacity and productivity.
This role pays up to £30,000 per annum.
