WMS SYSTEM PROJECT MANAGER:

On behalf of our Supply Chain client, Procom is searching for a WMS System Project Manager for a permanent role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Bedford Park, Illinois office.

WMS SYSTEM PROJECT MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager will lead the Warehouse Management System (WMS) initiatives, focusing on the comprehensive management of a large-scale WMS transformational program. This role involves organizing and driving success through strategic planning and execution, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

WMS SYSTEM PROJECT MANAGER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Extensive expertise in leading complex IT projects.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Advanced risk management and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of WMS processes and SaaS WMS implementations.
  • Experience in the supply chain and distribution domain.

WMS SYSTEM PROJECT MANAGER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with Infor WMS or Made4Net.
  • Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) and/or Infor M3 ERP integration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Innovation mindset for continuous improvement.
  • Commitment to continuous learning in IT project management.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic project plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead execution of complex IT projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage full lifecycle implementation of Infor WMS or Made4Net across distribution centers.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional project teams.
  • Identify, assess, and manage complex project risks.
  • Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality project outcomes.
  • Manage project budgets and optimize resource usage.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and generate status reports.
  • Up to 30% travel
