About the Role:

As a Support Worker at LOVO Women’s Centre, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate, person-centred care to women experiencing mental health challenges. You will support service users to lead more independent and fulfilling lives, enhance their well-being, and work toward their personal goals.

  • 10 hours per week
  • £15 p/h
  • 2 days a week
  • Working in-person at our site in Southwark, London

LOVO CIC is a Community Interest Company dedicated to engaging, equipping, and empowering women both locally in London and internationally online. Our initiatives include a weekly women’s day centre, childcare activities, events for local women and families, mentoring, and training opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to empower women in their daily lives.
  • Facilitate participation in recreational, social, and developmental activities tailored to individual interests and aspirations.
  • Maintain regular phone contact and conduct follow-ups to monitor well-being, sustain engagement, and respond to emerging needs.
  • Conduct initial assessments (triage) and maintain up-to-date records, including feedback forms and case notes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and professionals to provide holistic and coordinated support.
  • Support the administrator with service user data management and documentation.

Essential Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent communication and active listening skills.
  • Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental approach to care.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
  • Strong organizational skills with good time management and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable women.

Requirements:

  • Health & Social Care Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent qualification).
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Open reference
