Description

READY TO SHAPE THE FUTURE OF WOMEN’S FOOTBALL?

Are you passionate about developing female players, driving recruitment, and supporting the next generation of athletes to reach their full potential?
Oaklands College is seeking a Women’s Football Coach & Recruitment Officer to support the growth and success of our Women’s Football Academy. This is an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on coaching with recruitment and player development — helping our athletes achieve both on and off the pitch.
Working closely with the Academy Head and Hertfordshire FA, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our women’s programme continues to thrive, attract talent, and deliver excellent experiences for all players.

IS THIS YOU?

We’re looking for someone who is motivated, organised, and passionate about women’s football — with the ability to balance coaching, recruitment, and administration effectively.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong organisational and IT skills (Excel/database management)
  • A genuine interest in women’s football and player development
  • A qualification relevant to sport/football (minimum Level 1 coaching desirable)
  • At least 2 years’ experience in football development programmes (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with players, staff, and external partners
  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with the ability to inspire young athletes

And personally, you’re:

  • A team player with the initiative to work independently when needed
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable to the needs of a growing academy
  • Committed to safeguarding, equality, and promoting inclusion in sport
Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Talent ID – Lead on the recruitment of new players into the Women’s Football Academy, liaising with schools, clubs, and Hertfordshire FA.
  • Player Development – Arrange 1-to-1 sessions with players, working with coaches to track progress, set goals, and support their holistic development.
  • Coaching & Support – Deliver training sessions and provide guidance on good health values, fitness, and nutrition.
  • Collaboration – Work alongside the Academy Head and other staff to identify opportunities, share insights, and support wider academy operations.
  • Data & Monitoring – Maintain accurate recruitment and performance records, analysing data to inform future planning and growth.
  • Safeguarding & Welfare – Promote and safeguard the welfare of young people, ensuring safety and wellbeing remain a top priority.
  • Promotion & Events – Represent the Women’s Football Academy at open days, recruitment events, and promotional activities to raise awareness of Oaklands Wolves
