Description We are looking for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner(WHNP) or Certified Nurse Midwife(CNM) who speaks Spanish and English. The Women’s Health NP or CNM provides outpatient gynecologic care across the lifespan, excluding obstetrics. This role focuses on prevention, diagnosis, and management of gynecologic conditions while delivering patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. This position will work in Women's Health in the Specialty Clinic. Position available: Registry (as needed),1PM-5PM, 1 day per week. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES . Perform comprehensive gynecologic assessments, including annual well-woman exams, pelvic exams, breast exams, and cervical cancer screening (Pap/HPV testing) · Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gynecologic conditions, including abnormal uterine bleeding, menopause/perimenopause, vaginitis, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and pelvic pain · Provide contraceptive counseling and management, including prescribing and monitoring appropriate birth control methods · Prescribe medications, therapies, and treatment plans within scope of practice and in accordance with Illinois APRN regulations · Deliver patient education on preventive health, screening guidelines, sexual health, and menopause management · Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice and privileging, including Pap smears, IUD/Nexplanon insertion and removal, and endometrial biopsy · Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and ensure appropriate referrals for specialty or surgical services · Ensure timely review and follow-up of laboratory results, imaging studies, and referrals · Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) Epic System · Ensure accurate coding, charge capture, and compliance with billing and regulatory requirements · Adhere to all organizational policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards · Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support preventive care metrics (e.g., cervical cancer screening compliance) · Maintain productivity and patient access standards consistent with departmental and organizational goals · Meet and sustain performance metrics aligned with nationally recognized benchmarks (e.g., quality, access, patient satisfaction, and preventive care measures), ensuring delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. Requirements Education and Experience · Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing required · Certification as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with non-obstetrical scope required · Minimum of 1 year experience in women’s health or gynecology preferred · Experience in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting strongly preferred Computer Skills · Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably Epic Systems · Ability to document encounters, enter orders, and manage clinical workflows electronically · Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard clinical systems Certificates, Licenses, Registrations · Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license · Certification as Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC) or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) (non-obstetrical scope) · DEA license (or eligibility) · Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Community First Medical Center is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer who is committed to cultivating diversity, equity and inclusion within all aspects of our organizations.
