WOOD MACHINIST – JOINERY PRODUCTION

ABOUT THE ROLE

Stairplan Limited is seeking experienced and capable Wood Machinists to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role within our joinery production facility, focused on producing high-quality components for bespoke staircase manufacturing.
We’re looking for machinists with a strong background in traditional and modern woodworking machinery, as well as those with CNC experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES (MAY VARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSET)

• Read and optimise cutting lists
• Select and grade quality hardwood and softwood timber
• Operate a wide range of woodworking machinery, including:
• Circular saws
• Resaws
• Band saws
• Crosscut saws (manual and optimising)
• Planers and thicknessers
• Spindle moulders
• CNC moulders
• Sanders
• Maintain machinery and work area to a high standard
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
