Key Duties & Responsibilities:

As an Experienced Machinist at Kingswood Cabinets, your key duties and responsibilities will encompass:

  • Read and follow design and specifications as per work orders
  • Setting up and operating woodworking CNC machines, wood to process, cut, turn, as per specifications
  • Using the following techniques to ensure a high-quality finish on cabinetry – planing, sand, shaping, cutting, and turning using wood working machinery
  • Assessing and maintaining cutter performance.
  • Diagnosing and rectifying faults.
  • Safely and efficiently performing tasks.
  • Undertaking general maintenance and machinery care.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with standard operating procedures and work instructions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Certificate III in Wood machining or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in wood machining or cabinetmaking or shopfitting industry
  • Proficiency in operating Homag brand machinery, including edge banders, Nesting CNC machines, and Beam Saws
  • Ability to work Night Shift rosters for extended/agreed periods of time
    Availability: Immediate start preferable
