Blue Ridge Lumber (BRL) is currently recruiting for a Woodlands Operations Supervisor. Reporting to the Woodlands Operations Superintendent, the Woodlands Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day harvesting operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of operational plans while supporting West Fraser’s commitment to sustainable forest management. You'll Do: * Lead and supervise logging contractors and field operations to safely achieve production targets * Ensure compliance with company safety standards, environmental requirements, and provincial forest regulations * Monitor harvesting, road building, and hauling activities to ensure operational efficiency and cost control * Coordinate daily and weekly operating plans with contractors and internal partners * Identify and resolve operational challenges in the field in a timely and effective manner * Maintain strong working relationships with contractors, First Nations, stakeholders, and internal teams * Participate fully in West Fraser’s Safety Management System to support an injury-free workplace * Support reporting requirements, operational tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives You Have: * Diploma or degree in Forestry or a related discipline * Several years of experience in woodlands or harvesting operations * A registered Professional Forester (RPF) of Registered Professional Forest Technologist (RPFT) designation in Alberta (or be eligible and willing to earn this designation) * Strong leadership and contractor management experience * Working knowledge of Alberta forest practices, regulations, and safety standards * Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Proficiency with MS Office applications; experience with forestry systems is an asset * Valid Class 5 driver’s license What We Offer: The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location.
