Description

At Bott Ltd, we’re proud to be a global leader in designing and delivering better workspace environments – from workshops & offices to vehicles. We’re constantly investing in our facilities, our people, and our future. If you’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude… we want to hear from you!
We’re currently looking for a Woodshop Team Leader to join our team in Ashby. The Woodshop Team Leader is the go-to support for our Woodshop team, stepping in to ensure everything runs smoothly, especially in the absence of the Woodshop and Site Services Manager. You’ll play a key role in keeping manufacturing efficient, production on track, and the workshop operating at its best.
This role combines hands-on expertise in CNC programming with the organisational skills to manage production schedules, making sure fulfilment needs across all UK sites are met on time and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities
  • Review the schedule to accurately map the workflow for the team.
  • Set and maintain standards of quality & consistency throughout the Woodshop
  • Promote a joined-up approach with other departments within the business
  • Communicate the ongoing plan to the Woodshop Team to ensure a smooth production process
  • Capacity planning and resource management
  • Monitor the timing of projects, and overall productivity of the team, ensuring efficiencies are gained.
  • Continuously review work practices and processes to gain efficiencies in line with internal training and feed back improvement initiatives to the correct department or channel. Undertake approved project improvement work.
  • Arrange overtime and/or shift working when required
  • Lead by example in maintaining high standards of professional conduct, while ensuring team members receive thorough training and onboarding to perform their roles confidently and effectively.
  • Setting up and operating CNC milling machines
  • Creating machine programmes
  • Support the internal MRP system (SAP) by booking parts (cut components) and updating production records.
  • Raise and review non-conformances
  • Track and report scrap data, material usage, and production metrics.
