ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating risk management policies and programs, training Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) employees in work health and safety procedures, monitoring and auditing the workplace, and recording and investigating incidents to ensure safe and health working conditions. The position is maintaining a robust safety management system within MNCLHD.
Assisting with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, standards and practices and providing professional advice in respect to compliance with WHS legislation, standards and codes of practice. Undertaking workplace investigations including the gathering of evidence, determining contributing factors, root causes, corrective actions and systemic approaches to improved health, safety and wellbeing outcomes.
This is a District based role working 2 days per week. We have offices in Coffs Harbour, Kempsey and Port Macquarie.
A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.
