Mater is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our Human Resources team in Townsville. This is a pivotal role supporting the health and safety of our people across Mater. You’ll work closely with leaders, Health & Safety Representatives, and the broader WHS team to ensure compliance, reduce risk and maintain safe and healthy workplaces for all. * Provide day‑to‑day WHS support, coaching and guidance to managers and employees * Support the facilitation of risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations * Develop WHS procedures, documents and reports * Contribute to safety initiatives, wellbeing programs and continuous improvement * Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders About you * Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety * 2+ years’ experience in a similar WHS role * Healthcare experience highly desirable * Knowledge of WHS legislation, investigations and risk management * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills * Advanced MS Office skills and experience with incident/injury management systems  Why join us?  Mater [https://www.mater.org.au/] is Queensland’s largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
