We’re Hiring: Work Leader Department: Manufacturing / Production Location: Polkton, NC Employment Type: Full-Time Are you a skilled team member who enjoys leading by example and helping others succeed? We’re looking for a dependable Work Leader to support day-to-day production operations and provide hands-on leadership within the department. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge who can help guide a team, maintain workflow, and ensure productivity and safety standards are met—especially when supervisors are unavailable. ---------------------------------------- WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING * Supervise and coordinate daily tasks and assignments to maintain smooth department operations * Perform work at the highest skill level within the department when needed * Serve as the acting leader when the Foreman or Supervisor is unavailable * Provide guidance, motivation, and support to team members to promote teamwork and productivity * Use company systems such as M2M / ERP software to review open orders and manage work orders * Ensure workstations or production cells are properly loaded with tasks and materials * Monitor production metrics and help identify areas for process improvement * Promote a safe work environment by reinforcing safety standards and best practices * Assist with training, troubleshooting, and ensuring team compliance with company procedures * Communicate effectively with departments such as Planning, Quality, and Maintenance to maintain workflow Your leadership and organization will help ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining safety and quality standards. ---------------------------------------- WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Strong working knowledge of department operations, equipment, and safety procedures * Demonstrated leadership ability, including mentoring or guiding team members * Experience using ERP or production tracking systems such as M2M * Ability to operate a laptop and generate or review open order reports * Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment * Commitment to teamwork, productivity, and maintaining a positive work culture ---------------------------------------- BENEFITS * Paid vacation * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * 401(k) retirement plan * Stable, team-oriented manufacturing environment * Opportunities for leadership development and advancement ---------------------------------------- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This position may include additional responsibilities as needed to support production and operational requirements. ---------------------------------------- READY TO APPLY?
