EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • Certificate IV or higher qualification (preferred).
  • Experience in Early Childhood Education will be highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in placing students within the VET and Higher Education sectors is highly regarded.
  • A strong understanding of educational processes within the vocational and higher education sectors.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and maintain effective networks.
  • Strong administrative skills, with experience maintaining documents and records.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated Work Placement Advisor to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and coordinating work placements for students in our vocational and higher education courses, primarily in the field of early childhood education. The Work Placement Advisor will facilitate the placement process, ensuring that students gain valuable, real-world experience, while also nurturing positive and ongoing relationships with host organisations.
This position will be based at our Sydney or Melbourne campus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work Placement Management

  • Ensure timely placement of students with appropriate work placement hosts.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with host organisations to enhance future placement opportunities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for both students and host organisations, providing ongoing support and conducting regular check-ins during placements.
  • Ensure that all work placement documentation is collected on time and adheres to compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Allocate Workplace Assessor visits in a timely manner to ensure smooth placement experiences.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships that benefit students, host organisations, and EDU.
  • Ensure completion and compliance of placement documentation by assessors.

Student Support and Orientation

  • Provide students with relevant information about their work placements, ensuring they are well-prepared.
  • Deliver placement orientation workshops to students to ensure they understand expectations and requirements.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Ensure that all placement documentation is returned and compliant with required regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide data and feedback reports from host organisations to support continuous improvement efforts.
