Description

Case Aides for Connecticut Renaissance assist clients who have recently been released from incarceration to coordinate and manage daily safety and security of client direct care services, and provide programmatic information to internal and external customers.
This role is available to periodically cover third shift, 12 AM - 8 AM, on any day of the week.

KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Electronic Healthcare Record systems.
  • General office software, particularly Microsoft Office Suite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree or related experience within the criminal justice environment
  • Experience within the criminal justice environment
  • Satisfactory completion of the introductory employment period

OTHER:

  • Must be: ethical, self-motivated, dependable/reliable and detailed oriented.?
  • Must be able to interface easily with clients, staff, and other management.?
  • Must be able to meet routine office physical demands including climbing stairs, carrying up to 20 pounds objects and possessing the dexterity and vision to operate office computers and equipment.?
  • Must possess a Valid driver’s license.?

Responsibilities
  • Daily supervision of clients to include head counts; facility tours; supervision of meals and monitoring of self-administration of medication.
  • Daily facility reviews to include facility/grounds maintenance reviews; adherence of building cleanliness policies; perform fire and disaster drills and facility/grounds safety reviews.
  • Coordination of all new admissions to include: urine collection and distribution of bed linen and toiletries.
  • Understanding of all Department of Corrections contractual agreements including the Residential Providers Manual.
  • Verification of employment in the absence of Case Managers.
  • Supervision and timeliness of submission of incident reports.
  • Aid in transportation of clients to community appointments.
  • Participate in house and staff meetings.
  • Monitoring submission of urine drug screens by same sex clients.
  • Administering of all client breathalyzers.
  • Complete all mandatory agency trainings within required time limits.
  • Interface with Parole Officers.
