SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Workato Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing integration and automation solutions using the Workato platform. This role bridges business needs with technical execution, enabling seamless workflows across enterprise systems.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on integration and automation.
  • Expert level hands-on expertise with Workato and its various capabilities, including, but not limited to, recipe development and connector customization.
  • Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Experience integrating platforms like Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative spirit with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Workato Automation Pro Certification.
  • Experience with other iPaaS platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, SnapLogic).
  • Background in scripting languages (JavaScript, Python).
  • Knowledge of data privacy frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Kanban/Agile/Scrum project experience.
Responsibilities
  • Architect scalable and secure Workato solutions to automate business processes across departments.
  • Design and develop Workato recipes, connectors, and custom integrations using APIs and SDKs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Participate in integration projects as an individual contributor and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing recipes for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in automation and integration.
  • Stay current with Workato features, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
