POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday Engineer (Configuration Analyst) to join our HR Technology team. This role is integral to the configuration, optimization, and support of our Workday platform, ensuring a seamless and best-in-class employee experience. You will work collaboratively with HR, IT, and cross-functional business teams to configure Workday modules, enhance workflows, support integrations, and ensure ongoing system efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and passionate about continuous improvement in HR systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience.
  • Strong experience in configuring and troubleshooting Workday Payroll, Time, Absence, Compensation, and Core HCM modules.
  • Proficiency in EIBs, data loading, report creation, and testing of integration inputs/outputs.
  • Solid understanding of Workday security framework, data model, and business process configuration.
  • Familiarity with Workday’s Implementation Methodology and release management.
  • Experience in Workday integrations is preferred.
  • Ability to manage projects and system enhancements in a fast-paced, multi-tenant cloud environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence and compliance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Workday Pro or Workday Certifications in HCM, Payroll, or related modules.
  • Experience supporting Workday feature releases and managing change documentation for audit and compliance.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, HR data privacy regulations, and large enterprise systems.
  • Experience with LangChain, LLMs, or AI Chatbots is a plus, though not required.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and support complex Workday business processes, particularly focusing on Payroll and related integrations.
  • Perform Workday administration tasks including tenant configuration, EIB data loads, integration support, and advanced reporting.
  • Optimize system workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement by leveraging Workday capabilities.
  • Work in Sandbox environments and follow system standards, change management, and documentation best practices.
  • Provide pre- and post-implementation support, including change management, issue resolution, user training, and testing.
  • Create custom reports for auditing, compliance, and configuration validation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and vendors to define technical requirements, document configurations, and ensure compliance with audit standards.
  • Participate in Workday Community forums, user groups, and conferences to stay current on platform updates and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HR and business partners to enhance understanding and usage of Workday capabilities across departments.
  • Support the Workday Architect with scope definition, prioritization, and implementation of system enhancements.
