Description
The Workday Integrations Senior Principal Consultant will guide clients through the design, implementation, and support of Workday integration solutions, ensuring successful delivery across transformation and operational phases. This role involves collaborating closely with engagement managers, architects, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable integration solutions, while maintaining a high standard of delivery excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of Workday integration solutions across HCM, Payroll, and Financials, ensuring quality, performance, and scalability. Facilitate client workshops to gather integration requirements, validate design decisions, and align stakeholders on solution outcomes. Identify integration strategies, risks, and options; recommend best practices and mitigation approaches to meet client and functional requirements. Collaborate with functional, technical, and vendor teams to configure, test, and deploy integrations without impacting production environments. Manage key stakeholders across business and IT to ensure alignment, transparency, and proactive issue resolution. Mentor and coach junior consultants on technical and delivery best practices, including supporting shadow assignments. Contribute to the development and enhancement of Cognizant’s integration delivery framework, accelerators, and reusable assets. Actively participate in update trainings and internal knowledge-sharing sessions to stay current with Workday features and best practices. Drive business development efforts, including opportunity identification, proposal support, and solution design during pursuits. Duties & Tasks Translate business requirements into technical design documents for Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP integrations. Perform hands-on configuration, unit testing, and troubleshooting of integration components. Support deployment, post-production, and enhancement phases, ensuring a smooth transition to operations. Review design and build deliverables for quality and alignment with client architecture standards. Collaborate with global delivery teams to ensure consistent and efficient delivery execution. Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years’ experience in implementing or supporting Workday integrations, preferably in a consulting or delivery role. Strong hands-on expertise in Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, RaaS, and REST/SOAP API integrations. Experience in facilitating workshops, managing stakeholders, and driving technical discussions with business and IT teams. Deep understanding of integration patterns, error handling, and Workday data models. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver high-quality outcomes, and maintain client satisfaction. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage client expectations effectively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Workday Integrations Pro certification preferred.
