About the Team Cognizant Workday Practice continues to grow its Global Delivery Center in Manila. Join our dedicated team of experienced Workday professionals and be part of our dynamic, fast-paced, HR transformation consulting practice. About the Role: The Financials Manager provides leadership and expert advice to management and to the members of his/her team as well as the overall Financial Practice. The primary focus for this billable work will be to guide implementation for the Manager’s functional area(s), as well as supporting the implementation efforts for Consultants and Analysts. This resource must have expertise in Financial Management systems and in the areas of General Ledger, Billing, Receivables, Procurement, Payables, Expenses, Asset Management and/or Projects. In Addition, the Financials Manager will supervise a team of consultants from Senior Principal Consultant level and below. The Manager is responsible for guiding the career progression of his/her team to ensure expected performance is maintained, training is provided as necessary, and that the work/life balance of the Manager’s team are monitored and adjusted appropriately. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and mentor Senior Principal Consultants and below, helping them to develop their functional and consulting skills, as well as career progression Develop, manage and retain a diverse, remote team of consultants supporting Workday’s Financial application Promote a team-oriented, challenging and innovative work environment designed to promote and maintain the Cognizant Workday Practice Culture Lead and manage “lead ready” Principal consultants, in a limited capacity, during their transition; offering mentoring, constructive feedback, and support on one or more client engagements Work closely with engagement managers and team members to identify project needs and develop solutions and strategies Ensure consultants are adhering to the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday’s Implementation Methodology and Cynergy Drive the practice to achieve high client satisfaction levels Proactively manage team members’ and practice members’ schedules to insure they are properly utilized, for both billable work and internal projects when not billable Project: Independently manage work on multiple projects in various phases Leverage expertise to make recommendations and develop solution based on the client's requirements, budget, and time-frame Guide clients through facilitated design sessions based on best practices and an understanding of the client's unique business requirements Coordinate with project teams to align development with client design decisions Regularly engage and support the client through all phases of the project, ensuring a smooth transfer from legacy systems to the Workday FIN solution Provide status updates to the client, project team, and management on a regular basis Willingness to take a leadership position on a project or as a Workday Product Lead Display hands-on expertise of the software, including building complex configurations, moving configuration from tenant to tenant and providing guidance to project team on requirements Skills & Qualifications: Must have at least 4-5 years relevant Financials Consulting Implementation experience of similar level; Experience leading design, configuration, testing, and post production support for multiple functional areas through at least 1 full Lifecycle Financials implementation. Proficient in Global Financial platform areas such as: general ledger, budgeting, cash management, grant management, chart of accounts re-design, procure-to-pay, purchase order conversions, expense management, fixed asset management, and/or order-to-cash. Report writer & composite reporting experience desired. Passion for exceptional client service and collaboration. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively manage client expectations. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.
