This position will be responsible for managing and configuring Workday HRIS, with a focus on ensuring seamless HR processes, data integrity, and system optimization. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in managing and configuring Workday, with expertise in key areas such as Core HCM, business process administration, calculated fields, payroll support, integrations, and creating and managing simple integrations using Workday EIB.
As the Workday HRIS Manager, you will work closely with HR and IT teams to support the configuration, integration, and continuous improvement of the Workday system. You will also play a key role in managing bi-annual updates and ensuring that Workday is leveraged to meet the evolving needs of the organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and managing support tickets with Workday via the Workday Community to resolve system issues, track ongoing system enhancements, and developing/updating job aids for training purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workday Configuration & Management:
  • Oversee the configuration and administration of the Workday HCM system, ensuring system accuracy, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead and implement bi-annual updates and upgrades, testing new features, and providing recommendations for optimizing system functionality.
  • Manage the Core HCM configuration, including organizational structure, security, business processes, and user interfaces.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Workday integrations (EIB, Web Services, etc.) between Workday and other HR systems.
  • Create and manage simple integrations using Workday EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) to automate data exchange between Workday and other business systems.
  • Business Process & System Optimization:
  • Lead the design, testing, and deployment of business processes in Workday, ensuring seamless workflows for all HR functions.
  • Create and manage calculated fields to support reporting and automation of HR processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure system processes align with business requirements and identify opportunities for system enhancements.
  • Payroll Support:
  • Provide ongoing support for payroll-related processes in Workday, including troubleshooting and resolving payroll-related issues.
  • Work closely with the Payroll team to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payroll.
  • Data Reporting & Analytics:
  • Develop, maintain, and manage Workday reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the HR and Finance teams to ensure the accuracy and availability of reporting data.
  • Ticket Management via Workday Community:
  • Create and manage support tickets with Workday via Workday Community to resolve system issues, track system bugs, and manage ongoing enhancements.
  • Work with Workday support teams to troubleshoot and escalate complex issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution of tickets.
  • Maintain a strong relationship with Workday support to stay informed on system updates, patches, and best practices.
  • Training & Job Aids:
  • Develop and update job aids, documentation, and training materials to support end-user learning and ensure accurate, effective use of Workday.
  • Provide training and support to HR staff, managers, and end-users on Workday functionality and best practices.
  • Ensure that job aids and training materials are regularly updated to reflect system changes, new features, and process updates.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all things Workday, providing guidance and troubleshooting support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience managing and configuring Workday HRIS, including Core HCM, business processes, calculated fields, integrations, and payroll support.
  • Strong understanding of Workday modules, including Core HCM, Time Tracking, Talent Management, and Payroll.
  • Experience with Workday bi-annual updates, including testing and managing system changes.
  • Advanced experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Web Services, etc.).
  • Expertise in creating and managing simple integrations using Workday EIB.
  • Expertise in creating and managing Workday calculated fields.
  • Experience in creating and managing support tickets through the Workday Community and working with Workday support teams.
  • Proven ability to create and update job aids and training documentation for end-users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday Certification(s) in relevant modules (Core HCM, Integrations, etc.).
  • Experience with Workday security roles and configuration.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and the ability to align Workday functionality with HR business requirements.

Compensation Range:
$107,000 - $130,000/annual
