Description

I need a Workday Integration Developer in Northern Virginia. This would be CTH. Salary up to 130K. The role is onsite 3x a week and the candidate must be local, currently in DC, MD, or VA, no relocation.
After 6 months, they will convert to FTE

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a computer-related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience (each year of work experience may be substituted for each year of education required).
  • Workday Integration & Reporting Experience:
  • At least 5 years of experience building Workday Integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, and Core Connectors.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing Workday custom reports and calculated fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the application of modern integration technologies (e.g., EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net, middleware).
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a production environment, applying yearly business changes, incorporating Workday release impacts, and managing day-to-day integration and reporting events.
  • Technical Skills & Tools:
  • High degree of familiarity with Workday administrative functions, including tenant configuration, data loads, module configurations, and maintenance.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Proficiency in Web API and REST API.
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio and Source Control Systems (e.g., GIT, SVN, TFS).
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS, JSON, AJAX, JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with JavaScript and C#.Net (preferred).
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (preferred).
  • Development & Project Management:
  • Proven experience with the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Proven experience with backlog grooming and sprint management.
  • Proven experience with release management and code releases.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Compensation Package:

  • 1099 contract

  • Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across a wide array of Human Capital Management, Financial functional areas, and internal IT security & reporting needs.
  • Lead the design, build, and support testing of Workday integration code base, including Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, DT, XSLT, RaaS, and supporting third-party coding.
  • Lead discovery sessions with business and third-party vendor subject matter experts for integrations and reports.
  • Create detailed integration specifications, field mappings, and designs to support the entire integration and report deployment life cycle.
  • Investigate integration and report failures, conduct root cause analyses, and provide detailed findings and recommendations to management and business leaders.
  • Identify and escalate risks in a timely manner while developing alternative technical and functional solutions as needed.
  • Oversee integration development to ensure projects are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with business requirements.
  • Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities.
