Role Overview The Workday Reporting & Integrations Lead is responsible for driving the design, development, and governance of Workday integrations and reporting solutions across Fortrea Workday HCM, Workday Financials, and external systems. This role ensures scalable architecture, high-quality data insights, and robust system connectivity while leading a team of developers and collaborating with business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Integration Leadership Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of inbound and outbound integrations across Workday HCM, Financials, and third-party systems. Architect and oversee integration solutions using Workday tools such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Workday Studio, Core Connectors, and Document Transformation (XSLT/XML). Manage integration lifecycle activities including deployment, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance. Troubleshoot integration failures, resolve data transmission issues, and coordinate with external vendors to ensure seamless data exchange. Establish and enforce integration standards, best practices, and technical documentation for the enterprise integration landscape. Reporting & Analytics Lead stakeholder discussions and report rationalization sessions to understand and optimize reporting requirements. Design, build, and maintain complex Workday reports, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and BIRT reports. Develop and optimize analytics solutions using Workday Prism Analytics, including data models, dashboards, and data pipelines. Troubleshoot reporting issues such as performance bottlenecks, data discrepancies, and effective-dating challenges. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability to support business decision-making. Team Leadership & Governance Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Workday integration and reporting specialists. Ensure compliance with Workday security architecture, including roles, domains, and business process security policies. Lead end-to-end testing activities, including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, and End-to-End validations. Facilitate knowledge transfer and transition support to internal teams post-implementation. Manage change control processes and lead regression testing activities for Workday’s bi-annual releases. Qualifications & Requirements Experience Minimum 8+ years of hands-on Workday experience, including multiple full lifecycle implementations. Proven experience leading integration and reporting workstreams in enterprise environments. Technical Skills Strong expertise in: Workday Integration tools (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors) Web Services (REST, SOAP) Data formats and transformations (XML, XSLT, JSON) Advanced proficiency in: Workday Calculated Fields Custom Reporting and BIRT Workday Prism Analytics Certifications Active Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Studio, Core Integration, Reporting) strongly preferred. Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to drive technical architecture decisions and influence cross-functional teams. Preferred Attributes Experience with large-scale Workday deployments in global environments. Strong understanding of data governance and enterprise integration patterns. Experience in life sciences, healthcare, or other regulated industries. Prior participation in post‑implementation stabilization, optimization, or audit remediation. Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution. Physical Demands / Work Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic and international. Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Occasional crouching, stooping, with frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck. Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf. Light to moderate lifting and carrying, or moving of objects, including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. Regular and consistent attendance. Varied hours may be required.
