Job Description:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plan and coordinate meetings and workshops with stakeholders - scheduling leaders, HR partners, front-line managers - to surface needs and pain points
  • Maintain email/teams communications with various stakeholders
  • Assist in preparing and distributing clear, relevant, and helpful communications.
  • Coordinate configuration activities (shift patterns, scheduling rules), keeping the project plan on track for each new location.
  • Coordinate and drive the rolling Workday Scheduling Setup Process from initiation to launch for each new location (set timelines, organize Ministry Unit info, prepare agendas, follow up on action items.)
  • Maintain Scheduling Community of Interest Teams Channel with guidance from Sr. Analysts.
  • Assist in drafting clear, concise plans and playbooks for end-user rollouts and training; may support training delivery
  • Own small improvement projects: identify quick wins, create action plans, rally the team to execute

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years in a planning, coordination or Business Analyst role—Scheduling or Workforce Management background a plus
  • A natural communicator - crafting agendas, status updates, rollout plans
  • Excellent planner: you build and track detailed project plans, spot risks in advance, and drive teams to meet milestones
  • Strong facilitator: you know how to pull out requirements, keep meetings on time, and turn notes into clear next steps
  • Comfortable juggling multiple workstreams and reprioritizing on the fly
  • A team player, who’s happy to help where it’s needed. You’ll be an important voice on the Scheduling team, and hopefully one who can help to keep us organized
  • Exposure to scheduling/time-tracking systems (Workday, Kronos, Staff Schedule Care, Goeasycare, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Workday
  • Experience in a unionized setting
  • Basic knowledge of Azure DevOps (or similar) for task and backlog management.
Responsibilities

In this role, you will drive the rollout of Workday Scheduling to up to various locations of The Salvation Army across Canada & Bermuda, and help uncover new requirements so we can keep improving capacity planning, operational efficiency and employee-facing processes.
You will work hand-in-hand with front-line managers, HR partners, IT and our Sr. Analysts to keep things moving smoothly.
This temporary, full-time position is a 6–9-month contract that presents an opportunity for growth and tremendous learning.
