JOB SUMMARY:

The Workday Security Administrator is a collaborative and consultative change agent responsible for managing, monitoring, supporting, and governing the security of the Workday application while adhering to organizational security policies and controls.
This role requires prior Workday HR, Payroll, Reporting, and Integrations systems security knowledge and experience, preferably implementing or managing Workday HCM and Payroll security. The successful candidate will collaborate cross-functionally, working with teams to understand security needs, document comprehensive security requirements, partner with Information Security Officers to ensure compliance with corporate standards, and serve as the subject matter expert for Workday security configuration.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3–5 years of HR systems experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Workday Security.
  • Results-oriented, with a high degree of independence, collaboration, agility, and adaptability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in highly cross-functional project teams.
  • Comfortable collaborating with team members at all organizational levels.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Background in the healthcare industry.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related discipline required.

Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end Workday security administration.
  • Monitor and maintain security to ensure the production tenant is safe, stable, and compliant across all permissions, privileges, and access controls.
  • Provide expert guidance and lead security design, introducing best practices to Workday cross-functional teams.
  • Review and approve Workday security requests.
  • Create, document, and maintain internal control procedures and results.
  • Maintain up-to-date Workday security configuration documentation.
  • Perform security impact analyses for change requests and Workday releases.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams and external partner resources.
  • Assess the feasibility and business impact of security configuration changes for HR and Payroll processes.
  • Develop and execute test plans based on security requirements; track defects and coordinate fixes to resolution.
  • Manage incident tickets and change requests in accordance with change control, incident management protocols, and SLAs.
  • Perform security-related mass data loads in Workday (EIBs).
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Conduct audits to ensure data integrity (e.g., users, role assignments, etc.).
  • Support other duties as assigned.
