JOB DESCRIPTION

The Workday Security team configures security to deliver enhancements that ensure data integrity, deliver innovative experiences, and support risk management across both Finance and HR. The Workday Security Manager will lead a newly-merged team of Workday Security Administrators, supporting them as they partner with product teams and senior leaders to deliver security enhancements while maintaining the security architecture and data governance across the platform.

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Lead overall security design and governance across Workday platform
  • Lead and develop a high-performing, cross-functional team
  • Acts as a change agent by leading process innovation and procedural efforts to standardize workflow
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and improvements to security design
  • Define and implement overall security governance and controls based on data privacy and security best practices
  • Establish security design standards to drive consistency across the platform
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to product partners and Workday Security Administrators on projects, activities, enhancement requests,

break fixes, etc.

  • Oversee responses to audit requests and security-based inquiries
  • Support Workday Release preparation and the enablement of new features

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
  • Five to ten years of relevant technical experience
  • Three to five years of experience leading cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Three to five years of experience in Workday security administration, including hands-on Workday Security configuration experience
  • Familiarity with Workday Business Process design and configuration
  • Exposure to both Workday Financials and Workday Human Capital Management
  • Workday Security Pro certification
  • Experience in providing work direction, coaching, influencing and guidance to direct reports and leading colleagues through influence
  • An Agile mindset with a drive toward delivering value through continuous improvements aligned to business needs
  • Comfortable communicating in all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
